The people of this dark age are rather individualistic. altruism is at an all time low. at the same time the majority of the the masses has returened to a distorted form of cristian worship. but only to numb them to the horror of their dalily lives.

corporate personel know as enforcers impose the new religion onto the masses and act as a new form of inquisition. Keeping people ingnorant and undercontrole. they are very intimidating and dreaded for thier ruthlessness.

the main character is a freelance hired mercanery who undertakes special missions for the the various corporate bodies of the city . all this in the hopes to be apble to reach a decent standard of living and ultimately free himself from the decrepid lifestyle imposed upon him by society....
