you lived in places such as the US or UK, you would be forgiven for not knowing
that one of the most important meetings that affect almost all of the planet failed.
There was hardly a mention in many western mainstream media, certainly not on
prime time television news broadcasts, that such an important meeting was taking
place. Only as the meetings ended with dramatic collapse did the media appear
to turn attention to this. Yet the headlines were more about the sensational bickering
between the EU and US as to who was to blame for the collapse. Maybe
the media could be excused because of the conflict in Lebanon at the time, so
that the media was not watching proceedings at the WTO talks. But those talks
affect almost all of humanity. Do we really believe that the large mainstream
media companies do not have resources to cover multiple major issues around the

journalists always look for 2 points of view. they call it
balance.
But it can be misleading.
for example, a scientist comes along and says: if i drop the basket ball,
it will fall to the ground.
but the journalist, forthe sake of balance, will then go looking for someone
who disagress with the scientist.
he'll find a religious sect leader who will tell him: no! the basket ball
will fly into the air!
the journalist will have 99% of his interviewers saying the ball will fall
and 1% saying it ll fly.
but later, when you check out the news, you will get the impression that 50%
of the interviewees were saying it will fly and 50% were saying it'll fall.
And so the truth gets distorted. so be wary of the pro-con fake debates you
see so often in the media.

the last person to speak expresses the opinion of the people in power and
want they want you to remember.
for example if the issue is abortion, and the poeople in power are pro life, then the pro life spokes person will getr the final word.
if an envioronmental issue is discusseed and the people in power protect
buisness over environmental issues
then the environmental specialists gets to speak first, and the pro buisness
expert get the final word(in the hope that youll forget what the other expert
said before.)
remeber the truth never lise in extremes. it is most likely to be fown somewre
in the grey area in between.
what social circumstances brings about the position expressed(
what makes a person resot toabortion- kill their own unborn child? arre there
any resons that can be found aside behaiving irrationally.
if i want the truth i must
first stop to foght(concider my point of view to be the only valid one) and be
willing to listen to the oposing point of view.
let the other speak. and dont fall into personal attacks like:
"mr.X is a big poopoo."
or
"what you say is so stupid!!!"
