I built this robot out of wood when i was 5 or 6. I wanted a Grendizer robot (images below...). But my mom didn't want to buy me one. So i made myself one. But I never liked it. I thought the face sucked and it didn't move. It lay forgotten in the attic at my parents place for over 20 years. Had I been able to be a big brother to myself at the time I would have given it magnetic points of articulation and a better head sculpt. Anyway, a few years later, I gathered enough money to get the Grendizer i always wanted |

This is what's left of the sculpture after removing it from the rubber
mold.unfortunately, i'm having problems with the final cast. i'll be redoing it in sculpey. Hope to be able to show picture of the finished head and body in the comming months. |

| knight of gold de mamoru nagano Voici un de mes design méchanique preferé. Mamoru Nagano est un designer de mode japonais musicien et dessineur de mangas. J'ai recu ce Kit il y a presque 5 ans déja. Il étais statique et moi j'aime ca quand on peut donner des différentes postures a une sculpture. Alors j'ai esssayer d'y introduite des points d'articulations. Mais, ca na pas tres bien marché. Le kit etait trop pesant en haut. Je me suis procuré une version plastique du meme robot et jr l'ai fusionner avec ce premier kit. Cela m'as pris quelques temps mais j'y suis arrivé et les resultats sont tres satisfesant |

Knight of gold de Mamoru Nagano
(Five Star Stories) this is one of my favorite mechanical designs.mamuoru nagano is a japanese fasion designer who also happens to be a comic artists and musician. this is a resin kit a got almost 5 years ago. it was static. and i like stuff that is posable so you can have a diffrent sculputre whenever you want. tried to add points of articulation to it but the top was too heavy. i got myself a plastic version of the kit in the same scale and merged the two together. took a while to get it done but i took my time and i'm very satsified with the result. |
| Voici Arcee. mon kit de protestation anti corporatif. c'est LE (ou plustot la...)presonage que tout les fans de Transformers voullais avoir dans leurs collection. Mais, les grandes corporations n'écoutais pas. alors une gang de crinqués se sont regrouper pour en fabriquer une. Je pensais que le projet etait super capoté. la seule chose qui me dérange un peu c'est que le createur du design du personnage n'a pa recu ca part du gateau... je ne connais meme-pas son nom... |

fait de la sculpture: l'idéal: léger en haut, lourd en bas. fait un desin de l'objet que tu as l'intention de sculpter (de face, de derriere, de coté) fais attention lorsque tu prends des raccourcis, tu cours le risque de te faire plus de travail a long terme prends ton temps, botche pas ta job! si tu as pas des parents ou des personnes non-creative autour de toi qui te mange la laine sur le dos, essaye d'avoir plus d'un projet en operation a la fois. pandant que tu laisse la peinture secher sur un projet, tu travaille le sculpte d'un autre... |

Points to concider when doing sculpture Make it heavy at the bottom, light at the top. make a drawing of the object first, all angles needed (at least front, one side view, and back). build a wire frame and set the clay on it. carefull when taking short cuts. you might end up making yourself more work down the road. take your time, don't rush it if you don't have parents or non-creative people breathing down your neck, try having many projects going at once. |
